Murmelt is a client-side application and does not host, store, or serve any user content. This notice explains how to report content hosted on third-party Nostr relays or Blossom servers.
Murmelt does not host content
Murmelt is a client application that runs in your browser. It does not operate any servers, relays, or storage. Messages, files, and other content published through Murmelt are stored on Nostr relays and Blossom servers that are operated by third parties. Murmelt has no ability to remove content from those servers.
Where to send notices
To report infringing content, you must contact the operator of the relay or Blossom server where the content is hosted. Each relay and server has its own abuse process. The relay URL or server URL is visible in the content or in your relay settings.
What we can do
If you believe a Murmelt user is violating these terms, you can report them from within the app (Report action in a conversation). This publishes a NIP-56 report event (kind 1984) to your configured relays, flagging the user's public key on the network so that relays and other clients can act on it. We cannot remove content from relays.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was wrongly reported, contact the relay or server operator that removed it. Murmelt is not involved in the moderation decisions of third-party services.
